“Norblast is a company based in Italy, Bologna. For over 45 years, Norblast has been offering sandblasting solutions and more generally surface treatment.

.

Over the last year, we have been working a lot on additive manufacturing with HP, MJF printer models.

We did many solutions for our customers of sandblasting.

But then, our customers asked us more and more often if we also offered colouring products.

This led us to look at how sandblasting and colouring can complement each other.

So, our experience is made on the field with the customers. Time by time, customers show us what they do, and we understood that we need a good solution for machines, but also for dyeing.

For colouring, we lacked good products that we felt were reliable and that we could position on the market.

That’s why we have developed new equipment with our partner TEKNOX to match with TCN’s dyes.

TCN is therefore very important to us because it offers key product ranges, in that they ensure a good result with our equipment.

Thanks to the technical support of TCN’s laboratory team, we have been able to respond to our customers’ specific requests with customised approaches.

For this reason, we consider TCN to be a truly reliable partner.”

TCN’s GTC and GTD ranges are widely used by our customers in Italy and throughout Europe.

We offer a new machine that doesn’t exist on the market, and customers need this type of machine to automate their dyeing process.

That’s why Norblast and TCN work so well together.”

The need of Norblast

“The main need, of course, is to have no worries about the technical side of dyeing. We need completely reliable colouring products.

“When we receive our cartons or pallets from the GTC and GTD ranges, we know that quality is guaranteed.”

This will enable us to answer more complex questions from our customers, such as « if I want to dye a part, but also want to make it more hydrophobic, do you have to rinse it?

In the future, it would be also interesting to cooperate to study some new solutions.

So, our partnership will continue to focus on innovative, customised solutions for our customers.”

THE BENEFITS

“Norblast works with TCN for additive manufacturing dyeing. If we sandblast the 3D printed parts correctly, thanks to the combination of our sandblasting experience, our new automatic machine, that is a reliable and very reliable TCN’s products, we obtain very satisfactory results on additive manufacturing parts.

The finishing is super, and the customers are very happy.

So far, since we launched our new machine, we haven’t had any negative feedback from our customers who are mainly 3D printing service in Italy and Europe. After sandblasting, they dye 3D printing parts, mainly SLS MJF parts.

But our customers also come from a wide range of industries that need to dye parts of the additive manufacturing such as: luxury like shoes, automotive, automation, automatic machines.

Customers who use TCN need a viable solution to make dyeing simple, clean, and safe.

TCN dye is ready to use. This is the most important thing. Seems simple, but it is very important. I don’t have to mix it.  Then, in our machine, we code and define so that the TCN dyes are dosed automatically.

You can just program and take up a quantity for the liquid and everything then is automatic.

The thing is that we have a big basket that could dye in only one time in a row, up to a full HP job.

About the machine, the two words that are very important is that the machine is “Fully Automated ” and only a liquid product allows this automation for our industrial customers.

For us, it’s a great opportunity to work together because by using our experience in sandblasting and with our new machine on our side, and on the other side your expertise in dyeing 3D printed parts, and you are positioning on the European market.”

I think it’s really a win-win cooperation.”
