How to dye your parts
Most of the plastics, polyamide, polyurethane, elastomer, acrylic, polyester, TPU, PEEK, ABS, PEI,…
Whatever the technology:SLS, SLA, FDM, MJF, injection, moulding,… can be dyed with our dyes.
The parameters (dilution, bath temperature and dyeing time) should then be adjusted.
For an optimum result, the size of the parts, whatever their geometry, is the volume of an orange (10x10x10 cm).
The finished result depends on the dyeing parameters and the material itself.
A mastery of these parameters allows reproducibility of the shades realized.
It is possible to partially discolor a non-conforming part by dipping it into a suitable discoloring bath.
The dyeing was probably too fast and/or the agitation of the pieces ineffective.
Exit from the dyeing bath, it is necessary to rinse the piece accurately.
Our products are guaranteed without any shade bypass for a storage time of 1 year under the usual storage conditions.
When used, diluted with water and heated, dye baths have a limited lifetime.
How to polish your parts
Yes, the dry polishing process gives perfect results on the resin parts: polyester, epoxy, acrylic and photocure resins.
Polyamide is difficult to polish, a water polishing process should be used with abrasive medias such as CPA15 cones.
An ultra-sonic cleaning of the parts between each polishing step is necessary to avoid possible pollution of the barrel.
Regularly, it is necessary to „reassemble“ a barrel by replace the pegs with clean pegs.
The parts must be polished before dyeing and have a perfect surface effect, at the risk of highlighting surface defects.
However, an ultimate treatment with self-polishing pastes, after dyeing, brings gloss and a water-repellent protection to the part.
TCN offers a full range of polishing bars.
They can be used for plastics and noble metals.

Wastewater is treated in accordance with current legislation. Its quantity of wastewater can be limited.
Some coagulants allow a first treatment by precipitation/flocculation to transform wastewater into rinsing water.
